On the history and content of our association's work:

The brass-band-association “Flöhatal” e. V. was founded in 1991. It was formed by bringing together an adult and a youth brass orchestra.

In the early years, continuously youth development enabled a steady increase in the number of members. Today the active part of the association consists of about 25 musicians (youngest member 13 years, oldest member 72 years). Nevertheless, we are always looking for interested young musicians to join us.

The brass band association has also appeared since 1991 as “Bergkapelle Seiffen". In addition to our orchestral uniform, we can also be seen in our traditional miner’s costumes, based on the historical model from 1719. Our repertoire includes both: mining music and light music (polka, waltz, march) as well as concert music from the past and present rock and pop sounds.

The brass band can be experienced regularly at many Saxon Miners Marchings on various occasions, especially during the Christmas season, but also during „Frühschoppen” (early pints), to the bonfire on April 30th or as part of Christmas music.

We have been rehearsing in the auditorium of the Oberschule Lengefeld since 2017.
